Successful Journey's is seeking Behavioral Health Paraprofessionals to join our team.

Position Summary

The behavioral health paraprofessional, as part of the residential care treatment team, identifies, triages and manages clients with medical and behavioral health problems within the residential care setting. In addition, the behavioral health professional provides skill training through psychoeducation and patient education strategies and develops specific behavioral change plans for clients and behavioral health protocols for adults with mental health disorders.

Successful Journeys Integrated Care (SJIC) is a community-based, multi-service organization providing treatment and support to individuals impacted by mental illness. Our services promote opportunities for people to participate in integrated community-based activities. Through our Integrated Services, we offer Rehabilitation and Residential Programs in Northern Arizona and the Greater Phoenix area.


High school diploma or G.E.D. Minimum one (1) year behavioral health experience in behavioral health, psychology, or like field.  First aid and CPR certification and CPI/CTI Certification upon hire.  Must be at least 21 years of age.

Position Classification

Non-Exempt/Fulltime OR Parttime              Salary:  12.00/hour     


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and clients weighing over 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Other Information

Position requires a flexible schedule to include weekends.  Finger print clearance level 1 card and TB screening annually.
